We spent the afternoon downtown just steps from their apartment and did a lot of laughing and cuddling. (Well, they did the cuddling part).

I should mention that Trevor is a total Coke addict. Coca-Cola, that is. So much so that it wasn’t clear whether he just wanted to bring props, or whether he didn’t think he’d make it through the session without a caffeine jolt. In a later post you will find this drink features prominently at their wedding as well.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we’re currently taking some time off to stay with David’s family in Collingwood, Ontario. After a very busy year (in both photography and family life!) we decided this would be a great opportunity to have some down time and just enjoy our new little family. Quinn turned 6 months old this week and I still can’t wrap my head around how that happened so fast.

We’ll be away until the 25th of November, but since I’m unable to be more than 5 feet from my iphone at any given moment I’ll still be replying to email.

Here’s the little one enjoying country life (quite glamourously, might I add!)

I very rarely am able to shoot a session and blog it in the same day, but these are special circumstances, and I wanted to get just a few photos up right away.

Anna & Rob’s maternity shoot was scheduled for this Thursday, until I got word that Anna’s contractions had been 8 minutes apart for over 24 hours already. So we decided to just get out and do it before it’s too late. We spent 2 hours wandering false creek through the labour pains and Anna never even complained once.

These are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet, and I can’t wait to see them as parents. My thoughts are with them tonight as Anna paces the apartment in pain and Rob works his magic with the foot rubs.

Looking at these photos you would never believe that this calm woman is in early labour.

I really can not say enough good things about Louisa & Chris.

Sometimes I go to those perfect 1st meetings where an hour flies by and we realize we haven’t even really talked about photography yet. That was my first meeting with Louisa & Chris. We clicked right away and I knew from the start that this was a wedding I wanted to be involved in. And since we first met last winter, Louisa has become one of my biggest cheerleaders and regular blog followers. Being a self-employed artist as well, she knows how much it means to have people truly appreciate your work. These two have a serious love for frisbee golf (so much so that it’s where Chris proposed!) and decided to incorporate that into their session. Love it!
