2 years ago today we brought a new little person into the world, and in a way I became a new person myself. Quinn has changed my life in more incredible ways than I ever could have imagined, and I just love her more and more every day. She’s such a little adult already that I often wonder if she’s teaching us more than we’re teaching her.

Each of these photos is taken in the same spot almost exactly 1 year apart. Amazing how the time has flown by.

Wink Boudoir Launch

March 31st, 2012

Tweet Last weekend was the first boudoir shoot for Wink Photography, and I’m pleased to say it definitely won’t be the last. I’m absolutely THRILLED with the results, but for now here’s just a peek. I hope that the same things I believe in when shooting portraits can translate to boudoir: classic, quirky, timeless, fun, [...]

I hope that the same things I believe in when shooting portraits can translate to boudoir: classic, quirky, timeless, fun, and honest.
I love capturing times in peoples lives that they want to fondly look back on. There’s no reason why getting all dolled up and looking & feeling gorgeous can’t be one of those great memories.

Just let me know when you’re ready. portrait boudoir Wink Boudoir Launch

Remember these?! I love this idea for placecards. Louisa’s a girl after my own heart and so much of this wedding was either DIY or by independent artists on Etsy. Check out the vendor list at the end!

You may remember Louisa & Chris’ fondness for frisbee golf from their engagement session. They managed to find mini versions for guests to play during cocktail hour.

Cute custom toppers. Personalized right down to the exact boutonniere and hair fascinator.

Because their wedding was in the afternoon, Louisa & Chris knew they’d need to find a way to keep the party going. Most obvious solution? Bowling, of course. wedding Louisa & Chris | Brock House Wedding

A peek into my crazy world.

Just thought I’d share a little interview I did with Nixey Communications a couple weeks ago. They’re a successful local company, specializing in strategic communications services for businesses and non-profit organizations. And their weekly “8 Questions & 2 imperatives”  featuring various Canadian business/entertainment  figures has become a big hit. I was lucky enough to become one of those people last week.

Check it out here: 8 Questions & 2 Imperatives for Jana Frandsen

And because it just feels wrong to end a blog post without including any photos…

This interview reminded me that I hadn’t shared any photos from our trip to Nashville for the annual DWF (wedding photographers) convention. Let’s remedy that right this instant!

The awesome hotel we just KNEW we had to stay at in Nashville, was originally built as a train station in 1900. I’d take this over the W any day!

Had to check out Hatch Show Print. One of the oldest operating letterpress in North America. They’ve been making their iconic music posters since the 1920s.
