East Van Cherry Blossom Engagement Session
My favourite kind of engagement session, is when it’s just an easy breezy wander with what feels like old friends. Rince & Ken wanted an urban waterfront shoot, but also couldn’t resist capturing some East Vancouver cherry blossoms along the way. There’s a handy dandy cherry blossom map online, FYI: https://v1.vcbf.ca/blooming-now/neighbourhood-maps It’s great for checking bloom timing based on location and by variety of tree. I get a lot of use out of this map every spring!
Rince & Ken are now married (I’ll post their wedding soon!), but I couldn’t resist first sharing this fun evening we spent together. The False Creek Olympic Village area is one of my favourite spots for engagement sessions in Vancouver. It provides a huge amount of variety and versatility in a relatively short walking distance. We were able to just casually wander, and the focus was on having fun. Which is one of the main reasons I recommend packing light for an engagement session. Quite often the walking images tend to be my favourites, and that’s hard to achieve when you’re constantly starting and stopping to pick things up, or carrying a big back of supplies. Aren’t these two the cutest?
